As they passionately argue, they touch on topics like the existence of God, evolution, the Bible, and the role of religion in history. Despite their differences, they both gain a deeper understanding and respect for each other's beliefs. The film ends with the two characters shaking hands and leaving the coffee shop, lost in thought and contemplation.
